99% of what you see done by a professional fighter are just the basics… performed VERY well by someone who has drilled them countless times.
Since I’m a big believer that strong basics are what makes for great fighters, here’s a strong basic 1/2 guard pass…
- Avoid being flat on your back
- Go under opponent’s arm
- Hook his leg, pull back
- Up to knees, wrap waist
- Head tight to body
- Grab opposite ankle & knee with your hands
- Drive with shoulder
