Guard “Sweep” Position Techniques

Here’s 3 techniques to train on your Submission Master grappling dummy when you have your shin across your opponent’s stomach.

The first technique is a simple sweep by driving with your shin while you kick his legs out from under him with your other leg.

The second technique is often done when you can’t complete the first sweep. In this one, you reach over his back, grabbing his lat, and lift him over to the other side, ending up in side-control.

In the third technique, you start the same as you did in the last one, but this time you just lift him, scoot yourself back, then let him drop as you take his back.
