Guard Position With Shin Across Opponent’s Belly

Here’s some techniques to train on the Submission Master when your shin is across your opponents midsection. This usually happens when your opponent is going to side control from guard.

In the first technique, you grab the opponent’s wrist as he pushes your knee, feed it under his body, then roll him over you and come up ot the top side control position.

In the first technique, you grab the opponent’s wrist as he pushes your knee, feed it under his body, then roll him over you and come up ot the top side control position.

In the next technique, you take your leg over your opponents head to block him from continuing to side control.

The third technique involves underhooking the opponent’s leg, then sweeping him over top of you to the other side for a reversal, coming up to side control.

And, in the final technique, you hook your other foot inside the opponent’s thigh. That causes him to simply pull you with him as he attempts to go to side control.
